Over-Population

Welcome to Developmental and Personality Psych 3260. Last week we debated day-care and it got heated, I was afraid there was going to be a fight after class or something. Now our professor has to say "Now lets discuss this, but not let it get so heated like the day-care discussion did." Monday I sat on a panel and answered questions about why I consider myself to be "very feminine" or "womanly" and questions about the things I like to do bla bla. I now feel like the whole class knows too much about me; and thinks I am ridiculas because I haven't put gas in my own car for months--my husband is so good to me. Anyways...today we were discussing teen sexuality. During the class discussion our professor asked the class "why should teenagers not have sex?" This Chinese boy in the back raises his hand first and confidently says with his cute Chinese accent: "over-population!" Our class was laughing so hard! And the best part was he didn't know why we thought that was funny. Oh I love these psych classes of mine...

Happy Birthday Tawni Crabtree!

Happy Birthday Tawni!! Today is my best friend Tawni's birthday. I love her! We became best friends in 8th grade. We ran the 4x4 together in track and we would walk home together everyday and we have been best friends since. We were roommates in St. George, some of the best memories! She is still there working and going to school to be a master estitition! I miss her so much. But it is great that we can always visit when we go down to St. George to see Adam's family. Happy birthday Tawn!

These Two...

Dan and Adam...where can I start with these two...Well Adam and Dan have been best friends for years and they lived together when Adam and I were dating. I love Dan. He is awesome. Our house was a mess when he came over and I didn't think twice about it. He is like family--even though I clean when family comes over. So Dan came over on Saturday to celebrate Adam's birthday. They got pizza, watched basketball, and played video games all night. What would any normal girl do in that situation? I went shopping! Did Adam complain? No. He encouraged it! I want Dan to come over more often. It was awesome. Adam wanted me to pick up ice cream on the way home because "they had a surprise for me." Hello molten lava cakes! It was amazing. I am going to blame this dessert if I get diabetes in the next week or so though! It was so good. Happy Birthday again Adam!

The Internship...

Well the title pretty much says it all. Adam got the internship that he wanted at REAL Salt Lake! YEAH! We are so excited. If you are looking for me this summer just come to the soccer game I'm sure I will be there. So we are moving to Sandy after we graduate for three months then maybe to Orem, or we might just stay in Sandy--who knows. Then to MBA school in a year--another who knows where comment. But we are very excited!!! That is pretty much all I have to say for this post.

Adam Turns 26!

Happy Birthday Adam!!! His birthday was on Tuesday, March 23rd. Not to be confused with my best friend Tawni's birthday which is on the 28th! Yes, I confused their birthdays a few times in the past and Adam never lets me live it down. I married the most amazing guy in the whole world! Here are some funny things about him and some of the reasons I absolutely adore him:

1. This picture says it all: he is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, a real "man's man" and I love it!
2. He has ADHD....that says a lot! He is so fun to be around especially without his medicine, I think I am a bad influence on him and I tell him not to take it--don't tell his mom
3. He is afraid to hold or touch babies under about 6 months--they make him nervous! haha hopefully that will change one day...
4. He is the funniest person that I know! I think he should be a comedian He makes me laugh everyday!
5. He eats just like my little brother and Stuart Rollins, picky, picky, picky it drives me crazy! He calls it a disorder now...whatever!
6. Adam has such a strong personality sometimes I get nervous when he disagrees with someone in public because he is not afraid to tell them what he thinks. I secretly like it though!
7. He got kicked out of BYU.
8. He now loves the U
9. He has about 15 Polo Ralph Lauren polo shirts in 15 different colors that he loves to wear--all the time--I now don't wash them if I don't want him to wear them.
10. He is so so so sweet and kind, he has such a big heart, he is so good to me!
11. Adam is so protective and sweet to me. His brother says he is my pit bull. Another nick name I like to use for him.
12. Adam always makes up ridicules songs and sings them to me once, but will never repeat the same song twice! He is crazy!
13. He is picky about his hair and no one likes to cut it because of that reason!

Vaycay Time

I thought spring break would never come! We have been so busy we just needed to get away for a few days. We called this vacation--spring break, Adam's birthday, and our anniversary (since we will be in the middle of finals on our anniversary--lame) Like I have mentioned before, Adam is taking 21 credits and we just needed some time to chill and hang out together. And that is exactly what we did! I highly recommend The Johnson Mill in Heber! So beautiful, we had so much fun and we also got a great deal because Adam's friend Darrien's parents own it. I love knowing people...Another thing I love is Park City we spent a lot of time shopping and eating there, two more things that I love!

Our room, I shouldn't brag and say we stayed in the nicest room... But we did--we got a great deal! And I loved it! We had so much fun! I wish we were still there. I am pretty set on getting a king bed in the near future too! I realize that lately I have been demanding/requesting/asking a lot from Adam on this blog! haha

It was so beautiful!!!

Re-Uniting with Girl Friends

Nikki and Elyse! They are so cute, I love them. Thanks for throwing the shower Nikki; and Elyse thanks for having the baby and sharing so many funny stories...Love it!

I love Michelle. She was one of my best friends in high school and in college, we were roommates in Dixie for a year. That was a fun year; we had fun reminiscing on our Freshman year together and all of the ridicules things that we did. She is also a psych major and she told me an interesting fact: When women talk and laugh together there are some hormones released that make you happy. Men cannot get a women to release these hormones. So get together with girl friends more often!

I love my friends! Friday was Elyse's baby shower and it was so fun to catch up with some of my old high school and college girl friends. I love them. I will start by saying Elyse looks amazing...she is so cute pregnant and her baby is going to be so beautiful, I am so excited for her and Jared. We went to our usual restaurant--Red Robin in Layton-- always delicious. The party started at 7 and I didn't get home until 11:30. We had a lot to talk about!
