Christmas time in SLC!

Salt Lake is so awesome! We really love it here. I wish we could stay here forever, well maybe not, but we love it! So my dear friend Breanna told me about some awesome places to go to look at lights in Salt Lake:
Christmas Street was so cute. It was just a little cul-de-sac with all of the houses decorated with lights and decorations. They even had their own Christmas tree in the middle of the street.

This was our favorite house on Christmas Street
Bible Street: This was our favorite! This neighborhood told of Christ's birth with pictures and scriptures from the Bible. There were over 30 of these signs. Everyone driving through the neighborhood turned their lights off to drive through looking at the pictures and reading the scriptures. Here are a few pictures that actually turned out on my camera:

Sunday with the Nieces

Story time: So my little niece Alison who just turned five was at McDonald's with my mom, on the TV popped up President Obama and Nancy Pelosi wearing elf hats. Ali says "Hey that looks like Adam and Lauren!!" What! Nancy Pelosi Ali? Come on! Adam and I created an elf dance on the Internet that she saw it was called "Elf Yourself" we had elf hats on and danced; so that is why she thought we looked like Obama and Pelosi. The same picture came up again a few minutes later and Ali said "I really think that is Adam and Lauren" haha she is so funny.

The girls LOVE playing hide and seek! I think we must be the only ones who plays it with them because whenever we see them that is their favorite thing. Adam was too big to hide anywhere so he put the mask on to be funny. This is Breanne getting mad at Adam because he "isn't hiding" "Go hide in the Barbie tent so I can find you" they are so funny.
I love my nieces, they are so cute and so much fun!

They want to grow up to be just like auntie Lauren. Sorry Danielle.

My dear husband Adam loves to talk--trash that is--I will explain. So Sommer and I were texting about hanging out over the Christmas break and trying to come up with some things that we could do. Adam tells to to tell Sommer that we could making gingerbread houses and how our gingerbread house would be so much cooler than theirs bla bla bla. So the competition was on. Not to mention that we have had this planned for over 3 weeks because of finals and busy holiday activities. Last night we finally had the competition! Long awaited and anticipated. We even set the timer on the microwave and everything. Adam and Stu were out of control! Talking trash on each other saying things like "Stu I wish you could get control of your wife", "We have been married longer than you two, maybe one day you will understand." Then Stu started eating some of our house Adam was outraged. We always have so much fun with Stu and Sommer! We planned on just showing up at one of our neighbors to have them judge it, but was anyone home? Saturday night--No. So we sent picture messages to my cute little brother Taylor, did he text us or call us back? No. His response was "On a date" over text. Still haven't heard from him!!! So there is still no winner so far. But I would say ours is pretty sweet. :)

Christmas 2009 Part 1

When Adam has time in between finals I am so so happy to spend any time I can get with him. This adventure: GATEWAY! Best mall ever. We always have so much fun there. It was so COLD! I was dying, but we found this awesome firepit--that I now want in our future back yard! :)

Lesson #1 of our first Christmas: Let Adam stay home and watch football, do not bring him Christmas shopping. This picture is the result of 3 hours of shopping. Sorry Adam, lesson learned.

Our First Christmas tree!! WOOO
