Christmas time in SLC!

Salt Lake is so awesome! We really love it here. I wish we could stay here forever, well maybe not, but we love it! So my dear friend Breanna told me about some awesome places to go to look at lights in Salt Lake:
Christmas Street was so cute. It was just a little cul-de-sac with all of the houses decorated with lights and decorations. They even had their own Christmas tree in the middle of the street.

This was our favorite house on Christmas Street
Bible Street: This was our favorite! This neighborhood told of Christ's birth with pictures and scriptures from the Bible. There were over 30 of these signs. Everyone driving through the neighborhood turned their lights off to drive through looking at the pictures and reading the scriptures. Here are a few pictures that actually turned out on my camera:

Sunday with the Nieces

Story time: So my little niece Alison who just turned five was at McDonald's with my mom, on the TV popped up President Obama and Nancy Pelosi wearing elf hats. Ali says "Hey that looks like Adam and Lauren!!" What! Nancy Pelosi Ali? Come on! Adam and I created an elf dance on the Internet that she saw it was called "Elf Yourself" we had elf hats on and danced; so that is why she thought we looked like Obama and Pelosi. The same picture came up again a few minutes later and Ali said "I really think that is Adam and Lauren" haha she is so funny.

The girls LOVE playing hide and seek! I think we must be the only ones who plays it with them because whenever we see them that is their favorite thing. Adam was too big to hide anywhere so he put the mask on to be funny. This is Breanne getting mad at Adam because he "isn't hiding" "Go hide in the Barbie tent so I can find you" they are so funny.
I love my nieces, they are so cute and so much fun!

They want to grow up to be just like auntie Lauren. Sorry Danielle.

Gingerbread Making at its Best!

My dear husband Adam loves to talk--trash that is--I will explain. So Sommer and I were texting about hanging out over the Christmas break and trying to come up with some things that we could do. Adam tells to to tell Sommer that we could making gingerbread houses and how our gingerbread house would be so much cooler than theirs bla bla bla. So the competition was on. Not to mention that we have had this planned for over 3 weeks because of finals and busy holiday activities. Last night we finally had the competition! Long awaited and anticipated. We even set the timer on the microwave and everything. Adam and Stu were out of control! Talking trash on each other saying things like "Stu I wish you could get control of your wife", "We have been married longer than you two, maybe one day you will understand." Then Stu started eating some of our house Adam was outraged. We always have so much fun with Stu and Sommer! We planned on just showing up at one of our neighbors to have them judge it, but was anyone home? Saturday night--No. So we sent picture messages to my cute little brother Taylor, did he text us or call us back? No. His response was "On a date" over text. Still haven't heard from him!!! So there is still no winner so far. But I would say ours is pretty sweet. :)

Christmas 2009 Part 1

When Adam has time in between finals I am so so happy to spend any time I can get with him. This adventure: GATEWAY! Best mall ever. We always have so much fun there. It was so COLD! I was dying, but we found this awesome firepit--that I now want in our future back yard! :)

Lesson #1 of our first Christmas: Let Adam stay home and watch football, do not bring him Christmas shopping. This picture is the result of 3 hours of shopping. Sorry Adam, lesson learned.

Our First Christmas tree!! WOOO

Thanksgiving 2009

Last Thanksgiving Adam was on a cruise without me--sad! I missed him so much. But this year was much better because we were together! We had Thanksgiving in St. George with Adam's huge family. It was a lot of fun. The girls were killer in the kitchen and Adam and his brothers did a great job at watching TV I guess? haha. Actually they helped a lot with putting up Christmas lights. The next morning Ashley, Kim (my sister-in-laws) and I did some black Friday shopping, we are a success story. Then a few hours later all of the girls went to the Dixie Center for more shopping. It was so much fun. When we got home I crashed. And my sleep is still thrown off...

Happy Birthday Dan Richey!

Adam and I think we should start a surprise party throwing business because of our latest success. We threw a surprise party for Adam's best friend Dan and it was successful!! He had no idea! Happy Birthday Dan! We love you!

"Witches Night Out"

Witches Night Out! Loved it! Thanks Bre and Emily!

"Traditions, Traditions" (Fiddler on the Roof) haha

Adam and I have tried to make many traditions. TRIED--one Adam came up with was mac n' cheese on Halloween, that only made it one year. BUT one that may stick (as long as we are in Utah) is that we love to drive American Fork Canyon on conference weekend. It was so beautiful this year! And Adam's outfit is so hot!! haha

Spending Some Time With the Coombs Family!

I don't care that all of my blog posts are out of order, bla bla bla. I have other things I need to worry about--maybe my homework? Na. Anyways, we have had a lot of family time with my family since we now live so close. I LOVE IT!! We went to my cousin Cole's football game, ShayLyn's soccer game, Taylor's Mr. Northridge pagent, out to eat with the fam quite a few times, and of course some cabin time!! Woo

Cake Aution Anyone?

Our ward had a fabulous cake auction, Adam and I cashed in on some awesome cakes--yes we bought more than one!!! We figured it went towards a good cause and we could go to the gym later...(Still need to go).

Pre-wedding events

If you know me well you know that I was not a typical girl when it came to wedding planning, I just wanted to get married, the planning was a not fun--hence the luncheon only thing we went with. BUT I did love wedding showers and parties with my friends and family!

After the wedding...

Adam and I went on an amazing honeymoon after we were married. We went on a Caribbean Cruise! We loved it!! I can't wait until we are rich and travel more! (haha in a long time). Two of our stops were canceled, one because of the Swine Flu and another because of rioting, but thats fine, we were on our honeymoon!
