A Few Things I Must Document Before We Move....

Yes, you heard it right, we are moving! Hallelujah! Right now we live in an "OK" apartment, I call it ghetto and Adam gets mad because I guess he doesn't think its getto. Well it is. Here are a few things we laugh at about living here:
  • First our apartment, smallest living space ever! And so annoying. I am just all around disgusted by it.
  • TOM: our neighbor. Whenever I see Tom he is in a wife beater tank top, holding a beer in one hand, and a cigarett in the other. And he always yells "Hey bud how are ya" Once he called me Miss America; that's a pretty big jump from 'bud' don't you think? We do love Tom though, he is soooo funny! We'll miss him, except for the second hand smoke he gives me.
  • I think it is ghetto because I am seriously afraid of most of the people here. They are scary, I don't do the laundry by myself (plus this creepy Spencer guy lives by the laundry room and he talks my ear off)! Yes, we use a pay laundry facility at our apartments. Brings me back to my first year of college except my apartment was WAY nicer! Ug.
  • In front of our apartment complex is a trailor park. During the 4th of July we were standing on our porch watching them, Tom told us that after dark police don't go into that neighborhood! haha
  • Brings me to my next point, there was a sign on the sidewalk pointing to the trailor park that said "Yar sale" They somehow missed the 'd' hahaha!
  • I think those are all my points. I am just sooooo happy to move. Maybe I will take a few pics of this place just for memory sake! Maybe not, I just want to get out of here! The end.

Have you seen "Sister Wives" on TLC??

Tell me I am not the only person that has seen Sister Wives? I think I am. Well it's a new show on TLC about a Polygamist family from Lehi. I know I have better things to do with my time but whatever I watched it Thursday night because Adam was gone. I thought it was pretty lame. Why am I even bothering with this post? This is why---Last night Adam and I were at the University Mall in Orem and WE SAW them!!!! Not all 5 of them just the guy with his new hot wife Robin on the far right--the other wives are jealous of her. Apparently polygamists like Tae Pan Trading too! Who knew. I thought their house was pretty ugly from the show though, they need that store! Adam didn't think this was interesting at all. He didn't spend an hour watching them on TLC though and my secret guilty pleasures are shows with lots of drama that no one would admit to watching. This post is pointless. I know, but I saw them!! haha

Story of My Life= Now What am I Supposed to do?

Dirty Dashers!

Before the race started, we thought we were pretty sweet! And yes, we are matching once again...haha and to add to that; yes, my shorts really were that short! Yikes! (At least I match unlike Adam's outfit! haha) The whole fam minus Danielle--just had a baby, Danny--didn't sign up in time, and my mom...well...she was there she took these pictures!
My dad, me and Adam in action! Too bad we only kept up with Taylor the first 100 yards or he could be in this picture too; he killed us!

At the end still thinking we are pretty sweet!! It was SOOO fun!

The reason Adam complained the whole time. Sick, I know! He has said "look at my blisters" so many times I thought I would take a picture, it lasts longer!

Red Rock Relay!

Red Rock Relay--So fun! We ran 186 miles from Brian Head to Zions National Park. We had 11 people (1 short, long story) and 2 cars aka vans. This was our car and our team name!
I was the last runner in our van. This was my first leg, 5.8 miles, I thought I was going to die here. Isn't Bre cute?! What a good friend! I just ran up this HUGE hill, the van pulled over and she ran out to get me some water and a good pep talk! I love her!

This is our van at the starting line!

The girls being sweet! haha! So of course there is a story with this post...So I just have to start by clarifying to those that don't know that I need 8 hours sleep every night and regular food intake or I die. So I had no sleep at all. My last leg was down Snow Canyon, the van couldn't come down it with me because it was before 6 AM. So I ran down it scared to death, I was on this creepy trail by myself for 5 miles. I got back in the van and I was so relieved. Then we started driving following the next runner and I just started feeling sooo sick. I was freezing, nauseous, and dying. I sat up and everyone looks at me and says "Wow you don't look good, you look really pale." I just started crying!! (I started my period the next day TMI I know) But the point of this is I don't have any pictures of all of the team at the end because Adam came and picked me up in Washington County. :( sad. But I am alive and my team did so good! I really did love it!

Predictable Labor Day:

Labor day at the cabin: Predictable. Taylor teasing Cayli: Predictable. Going on a LONG walk: Predictable.

Playing games all night and all morning: Predictable. Cayli and I on a team: Predictable.

As soon as the new neighbors drive away from the cabin they are building we invite our selves in to snoop around: Predictable.

Lauren and Cayli: Predictable.

BYU vs Utah rivalry: Predictable.

Baby Caleb is Here!

My sister and her husband's first boy! (And last supposedly, but I've heard that before) He was born on Danny's birthday! He is so cute! I love him already. Don't mind the awkward picture Adam took it! JK!

I think my dad loves babies, children and his stinky, barking, dogs more than anything in this world! Besides my mom of course!

Oh Bre, where do I start with you? Well she's 3. She cried when they told her it was a boy, she wanted a sister. She didn't like the name Caleb, so she said for months "My mom and dad are naming him Caleb but I'm naming him Jeffery." And at the hospital she kept saying "He cries like a lamb huh?" haha I always joke "Oh Bre you make me so baby hungry" in the most kind, loving way of course. Love you Bre!

Adam held the baby! haha he thinks they are scary until they can talk--we'll work on that later. Isn't Ali gorgeous? Her first day of kindergarten was Wednesday and the first thing she said about it was "We can't tear the paper off the crayons, it's a rule" I talked to her on the phone on the way to the hospital and she said "Lauren, Caleb came out today" I love her.
Congratulations Danny and Danielle!

Last of Texas

Hangin out with the sister-in-laws, the ones that married Graff brothers. Love the beach house walls right? haha. Well in this picture we were all confessing our "guilty pleasures" and somehow we started watching Teen Mom on MTV and we all enjoyed it!!! haha OK I had the remote and they like it too! Also it was soooo hot and humid I could not be outside!

Rare occasion. JK But really it was so hot and humid I could not lay out very long! Hence the pale skin still.

Geo cashing!!! I love this! I keep hinting to Adam that we should geo cash sometime...aka lets buy a geo cash thing. We finally found it.

Do I really need to say anything about this picture? Other than I hope Adam survives skin cancer one day?

Texas Part 2

Shark fishing! The girls caught a shark! Not that I contributed to this at all, but I was there. I was either standing over the edge puking my guts out or laying on a dirty bean bag
All of the girls! This is the few minutes that I wasn't as sick on the boat. We saw some dolphins right after this pic, it was sweet!

Adam with the fish the guys caught. I love him!

Mini golfing!

Adam and Brandon on a ride (I have no idea what its called and I was too chicken to go).

Texas Part 1

It started off with Austin (Adam's little brother) and I rockin' the mini. Not really but this is where we will start. Austin says "I'm thinking about getting a minivan, I think I would get a ton of chicks at BYU because it lets them know I'm family oriented!" Who says/even thinks that?! Austin. I gave him better advice NOT to get the mini.

Finally to the beach houses. Ahhhh. Aren't they so cute? We stayed in the yellow one and Adam's cousins the Young's stayed in the blue and white house. There were beach houses lining the beach as far as you could see.

Adam and Brandon with their crab they caught. Adam loves crabbing!!!

Did we watch shark week up until the day before we went to the beach? Yes. Did I scare Adam in the middle of the ocean because I yelled "AH I think I just saw a shark"? Yes.

Adam and Austin at the fire.

Todd Packer from The Office

Adam and I went to Wiseguys last night to see Todd Packer aka David Koechner! I had what I call a "perma-smile". I can't even explain how funny it was! It was seriously so funny. I've been quoting lines from it all day long!
Adam and I LOVE comedy! When we weren't even dating, well kinda dating, hanging out, starting to date, he was into me in a big way, you know that stage we were in. Well he came over to my house and we watched comedy for hours, we were sitting on the couch laughing so hard. Suddenly my laptop froze from all the downloads. Still frozen five minutes later. Perfect opportunity Adam goes in for it--for the first time! haha we laugh that our first kiss was when we were watching comedy and my computer froze, so comedy reminds me of kissin Adam! I love him!

Bee's Game Mess:

Adam is the "jumpiest" person ever! You know where this is going: We barely sit down, Stu yelled "wow" because a foul ball was hit and coming into the crowd above us. Adam jumped and some how knocked Stu's brand new, no bite taken out of, hot dog onto the ground. Lets not forget that we had eaten sunflower seeds previously and spit the seeds on the ground (and in this ladies hair in front of us--oops) haha Stu ate the hot dog anyways, no surprise there :)

Have I said how much I love Sommer? I love her! We love to double with Stu and Sommer they are always so much fun.

Happy 24th!

Realizing that our men were watching the fireworks together, how cute. Oops that should be us Sommer, we need to go be good wives and watch them with our husbands!
Clinton days fireworks with the fam + Rollins family--classic! We played some hard core Clue; Sommer won!

FISHER! How cute is he? He is such a good baby we love him! Adam always teases Stu and Sommer that we are his godparents! I think Adam thinks we actually are.
So I feel like you can say whatever you want on your blog so here I'm going to say it: I LOVE other peoples/friends babies, cousins, my nieces, love them! But here is the catch--not that we are in a hurry to have babies but the idea of having our own baby scares the hel* out of me! So for now we wait. We are on a "5 year plan". I know I am not a normal girl...Especially in Utah.
Funny story real quick. At the fireworks I mentioned something about our apartment to my niece Ali (she's 5). She says to me "your living in your apartment until your real house is built huh? Just like Katelyn" I say "well that is our real house, we're not building one yet" She says "Oh that's weird" haha I love her. She says the funniest things every time I see her.

July 3, 2010

I received the kindest compliment from the treadmill yesterday. It said "User not detected on belt" why thank you treadmill I did lose a pound. THEN I received the weirdest comment of my life. I am on the treadmill trying to get it figured out and this older guy walks in and stands by my treadmill staring at me. I take out an ear bud and say "Yes?" and he says "Oh sorry, I just confused you with the girl that works at the Wendy's drive thru across the street!!!" Oh my gosh! "Nope not her" put the ear bud back in and try not to think too much about that comment ever again....Ever....

June 21, 2010

I told you that I would be at a lot of REAL games this summer! Adam always gets us pretty sweet seats. Here is a tangent: I love seeing people from high school. Well not really, only a select few. But I saw this girl that was way better then me at soccer in high school, she thought she was so awesome. Well seeing her at the game I literally laughed out loud. And laughed again writing my friends texts about seeing her. I love carma. I am so rude....

Memorial Day

Just to start this post off I would like to say that I was dressed before Adam. He copied me. And yes, walking up the trail everyone we passed made a comment about the U or us matching....On with Memorial Day...Adam and I hiked Adam's Canyon, it was so so fun! I haven't hiked Adam's canyon since high school, and in high school I swear I hiked it 15 times! So it was a good little walk down memory lane. My favorite part of the hike, story time: We were on our way back down and this family was coming up the trail. They were at a part where you either scale this boulder or walk in the little stream. Well this mom was trying to get all 4 of her kids across this rock and her husband was in the back ground picking his nose waiting for them to get across. We were waiting as well. Well the mom got scared and started yelling at Adam to help her! So Adam steps on a rock in the stream and it falls so his foot is soaking and this lady is all freaked out that her kids will fall into 2'' of water! I am just standing on the other side laughing like is this really happening? Adam was so mad. At this same time the kids make it across fine and continue hiking. Adam was all mad that his foot is wet and that this lady just yelled at him. He says "the worst part is she didn't say thank you and she was wearing a BYU hat" hahaha. I always think these stories are funny but after I write them I'm not so sure. Maybe you just had to be there. Why do weird things always happen to us?

Back to Blogging!

Lets first start with apologies: I am sorry to all of my friends that have left messages, texts ect and I have not returned them. I have been MIA for about 3 weeks. Why? Well I just got a new job working 8 hours a day (not used to that), my online classes have been time suckers, and that is about the gist of it. Good news is that I am starting to like my new job! AND our apartment is starting to smell like 'Scentsy' instead of smoke and dog pee. I don't have anything else to say for this post.

FMSC

OK, lets talk friends. Adam and I just got back from a "meeting" with some friends. We want to bring FMSC to Utah--Provo area in September. Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-denominational charity. Which I think is awesome! We need to raise $19,000; we already have $4,000. FMSC has never been to Utah before and we think that it would be such a success in here. Our friend Isaac has volunteered with this program back east and he absolutely loved it and contacted the agency to bring it to Utah for the first time. Often we find ourselves wanting to give service but we don't know where or how to go about it. This is a great opportunity, I am very excited about it and I'm sure you would love it too! Please see the website: http://www.fmsc.org/. If any of you would like to donate and/or volunteer your time, and yes, children are welcome and encouraged to come; please let me know!

How is Adam Liking His Internship?

Well its hard to tell...This was day 2, he comes home reaches for the Ben and Jerrys, actually its Dryers, and then falls asleep twenty minutes later which is about 7:30 PM. Meanwhile I have been looking forward to him coming home all day...Lame. But it has gotten better. He has finally gotten used to getting up early and used to working a 9-5 (I need to get me one of those--9-5's I mean). He is so cute!
